Young Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has joined French side FC Sochaux for the next three seasons.

Sochaux announced the completion of the free-agent deal on Wednesday.

The Ligue 2 side signed the 20-year-old as their second choice goalkeeper.

Ati-Zigi ran down his contract with Austrian giants RB Salzburg before opting to seek better opportunities elsewhere. He was recruited as a teenager and was often sent out on loan to feeder club FC Liefering.

In 2015, the shot-stopper was Ghana’s first choice at the Fifa U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. He featured in all four games for the Black Satellites.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi, together with other new recruits, is scheduled to be presented to the media on Thursday morning.
